What's up! Alysa here!

Well... where to start?  In 2015 I took my first ever yoga class and instantly I was in love. The way my body moved and how strong it made me feel, and I don't just mean physically.  It brought out my confidence which I used to always hide on a shelf.  Within a year, I knew that I wanted to become a yoga instructor so I began my journey into getting my CYT-200.

In September of 2016, I started teaching my first set of classes and from there I have continued to grow my practice.  In my life, I feel so sure that I am in the right place by being a yoga instructor.  With my classes, my wish is to promote confidence into my students.  I don't just mean in themselves or in their practice but in everyday life.  To know that they are capable of anything.

I am always ready to grow as a teacher so in 2020, I took training to become certified to teach aerial yoga instructor and yoga barre.  Let me just say I never thought I would become a yoga instructor in general but to take aerial training was a step out of my comfort zone.  I am so glad that I did it though!

Yoga, of course, is a passion of mine but since I was a little girl I have had another passion and that is music. I grew up with a father who played drums and it instilled this love and passion for the craft into me.  I get the privilege of following both of my passions because I get to perform on stage with my band The Indigos and create music in my duo, Matt & Aly.  Music is such a life saver for me and an essential part of me and who I am.  It inspires how I move, flow and teach my classes.

When I'm not teaching yoga or singing, I am an avid fan of having dance parties, cooking, shoving my nose in a book, drinking my favorite cinnamon tea, snuggling with my dog, and anything that allows me to be in nature.
